I don’t know about you, but it seems like I’ve been hearing one negative thing after another about storing and cooking food in plastics. A friend of mine was just telling me that her husband got rid of all their plastic storage containers and went out to buy glass bowl replacements instead. Between the concern over BPA and if we should be heating foods in plastics in the first place I’ve been wondering if we should follow suit.
Luckily there seem to be plenty of covered glass bowl alternatives out there that I suspect would last much longer than
Tupperware anyway. And today I am going to give away a free set from Duralex! We started using this very same set last week, and I love them so far. First of all they are stackable so they don’t take up very much room, secondly they serve a dual purpose because the quality is nice enough to serve food out of as well, and lastly the size range seems to be appropriate for our needs. I think we may get a second set so we can do away with plastics all together!

I would love to make the switch to glass and throw out the plastic containers!
I would love to start replacing my tupperware (for the same reasons as you mentioned) but haven’t been able to do so yet.
We’d love these bowls! We’ve gotten rid of 95% of our plastic storage, but still don’t have enough glass replacements yet. These look great!
This is entry #2 – FB fan as well
I’m a facebook fan!
we’ve been doing away with plastic storage containers, too! would love more storage bowls!!!!
of course, i follow you on fb, too!!!
I work so hard to eat real food absent of chemicals, I hate to think all that hard work goes to waste when you store the food in chemical leaching plastic!
Second entry. I am a Facebook fan.
I would love these bowls! I’m so sick of using plastic. All my plastic containers scare me
It’s long overdue here in our house. Time to end the love affair with Tupperware and get some glassware.
All of my plastic stuff is hazy and smells like dishsoap AND the food tastes like soap, too, so I’m working at storing things in Fiesta with no lids… :0(
I would like these because they are pretty and glass is better than plastic. You don’t have to deal with stains or scarring on the plastic.
What a great idea~ I’d love to throw out my plastic and replace with these glass bowls! Thank you for the opportunity to do so…
Oh, I would so love to get rid of all the plastic storage in my house!
Gradually moving the plastic out and the glass in. Awesome!
I have been slowly trying to switch over to using all glass containers, I would love them.
I also follow on facebook
We have been trying to toss out all of our plastics which has left me with mason jars for our food storage. I would love some stackable, storable containers to keep and serve leftovers in.
I am a FB fan as well!
Glass is so much better than plastic and try as I may, every single form of plastic container is “disposable” to some extent if I keep or heat certain ingredients in them. Thanks for all the good info you’re spreading and the chance to win these!
What a great idea. I got ride of the plastic water bottles, why wouldn’t this be the next logical step? I would love to make the switch to glass-hopefully I won’t break them!
As a mom of four boys I’m hesitant to switch to glass out of fear of them breaking them! But..I know I should & what better way to start by winning a FREE set!!
We try to use sustainable resources. Trying to switch from plastic to glass. Thanks!
FB fan too!!
