Melissa! She said “I’ve never considered making my own yogurt before. It seems complicated and overwhelming! What a great introduction, I’m interested now!”

The best way to control the ingredients in your food and avoid unwanted chemicals is to make items at home from scratch. Sometimes that can be easier said than done though so today I’d like to introduce you to a kitchen tool that will help make this job easier – and quicker! The Brød & Taylor Folding Proofer takes the guess work out of bread baking, simplifies homemade yogurt making, and holds chocolate at temperatures ideal for melting or use after tempering. With the ability to work with both gluten-free and lactose-free diets, once you are all done this 3-in-1 folds up for easy storage.

More about Brød & Taylor’s Folding Proofer

The folding proofer is a multi-use kitchen appliance that can be used in preparing bread, yogurt, and chocolate. Obviously the first two items are great for eating “real” food, but the third can be a special (and occasional) treat. The benefit of the proofer is that it allows you to control the ingredients used in your food and also can help you save money by making foods at home.

The proofer also folds for easy storage and little counter space; it’s super easy to fold it and place it in your pantry/cupboard or wherever you have some flat space. Or, if you wish to keep it open, you can store crackers or cookies in it and it will help them stay crisp.

Those who follow a gluten-free or lactose-free diet can also use the proofer; in fact, there is a recipe for lactose-free yogurt on their website as well.

  • I would love this for my journey of starting to cook real, whole foods. I have wanted to start this for so long and have finally really started having the motivation to make it happen. I have two kids and one with a heart condition that requires we provide him with proper nutrition and exercise throughout his whole life! I’d love anything that can make this process a little easier and it sounds like this product does just that!

After being encouraged by a friend who began the GAPS diet, we took a look at our “healthy” diet and realized it had alot of unhealthy, processed foods still in it. So we began the whole foods journey. I have found that I really enjoy homemade yogurt much more than store bought and home-made sour cream is yummy as well. But for some reason I just can’t get the yogurt perfect-so this proofer would really help me save time and money!!

Facebook-If I could afford this right now, I would just buy it! But since I can’t I’m making every effort to win it and improve my yogurt and bread making skills!

My husband and I decided that we were going to do the 100 day challenge. I came across this while reading this blog to help is prepare our kitchen for when we start….so I’m a little late and may have missed the deadline. :(. Anyway, this sounds like a great gadget to have in te kitchen, we’d love to have one. We haven’t always had the healthiest eating habits and we have 2 young girls who we’d like to grow up eating healthier than we did.

Within the last 6-8 months I have began the transition to organic EVERYTHING. As the mother of two small children I dont believe there is any better time than now to teach them the validity of “you are what you eat.” Making our own yogurt would be a process that the kids and I can partake in together. :)
