    I am interested in your cookbooks and meal plans, when I try to order it gives food option such as gluten free. I am both gluten free and dairy free not either or…any way to choose both options?

    • We don’t have a way to choose either/or, but if you’re looking for gluten free and dairy free, then the Paleo meal plans would be a great option for you.

        Do the Paleo plans make use of a lot of nut based products? We are wheat, egg, diary, and nut free :(

          I have the same question as Joy. I am very interested in getting the 6 month meal plan but we have diary, egg and nut allergies and I’m wondering what plan would work, if any. I’m guessing the Paleo plan but how many of those recipes call for nut based products?

    You know, I love your blog because it’s incredibly informative, helpful and full of creative ideas on how to take care of our families better. However, I’ve started to notice that your FB posts are consistently negative, posting regularly criticism (sometimes linked to Food Babe, who I have stopped following) of stores and brands, complaining about ingredients, and so forth. Although I understand that some of that is unavoidable as part of your mission, I’d love it if your FB could be more like your blog: helpful, informative, fun. I think most of us who know about you and follow you are the kind of people who aren’t buying junk cereal anyway, you know?

    • I really appreciate your feedback, but I do plan to continue sharing store bought products (and their ingredients) to look out for along with better alternatives. I know everything I do can’t be for everyone, but I do hope you’ll continue to read and follow the parts that you find helpful! Believe it or not a lot of my readers do actually still buy that stuff and the feedback in the comments/shares leads me to believe that they do find it helpful.

    WOuld love to find out how to get the cookbook by itself. I am vegetarian and unfortunately the meal plans are not a good fit for my family.

    Does plan 1 ($40) come with the holiday meal plans? I want everything- so do I need to purchase both, or would plan 1 incorporate everything? Thanks!

    Do the meal plans use leftovers? I find many meal plans do not take into consideration time and ingredients and I end up with a sky high food budget.

    • My plans use many of the same staple ingredients over and over. I also plan the meals as best I can so all ingredients purchased for a week are used (minus spices, seasonings, mustard, etc. which can be kept in the pantry/fridge for later use). If there is an ingredient that will have a bit of leftover, then I usually instruct how to store it for later use. For example, last week we needed 1 tablespoon of tomato paste for a recipe so I gave instructions for how to freeze the paste in ice cube trays for later use. Then I planned a menu the next week to use some of the leftover tomato paste. I hope that helps!

    I’d love to do the meal plan, but I need primarily vegetarian meals and I don’t see an option for that. I also try to stay gluten-free — actually I’m literally allergic to wheat, but gluten free usually works for that.

    Pity. I don’t mind cooking but I’m brain-dead about planning.

    We occasionally cook Paleo style, but sometimes we don’t. So if I order the Paleo one, would it be easy to convert some of the recipies to classic, or should I just order the classic version and substitute Paleo alternatives for ingredients as I see fit for however I am cooking that meal. TIA.

    • The Classic and Paleo plans are very different, so it would probably be best to order Paleo and then add some grains, beans, etc. to your meals as you see fit. It’s our most simple meal plan (it’s the one I follow week-to-week). :)
