Cliche as it may be, for many New Year’s Day is the time to reflect on the passing year and to make resolutions for the upcoming year. The majority of the holidays have past, and you’re likely ready to make some changes for the better. Good for you! Making the commitment is the first step, and today we’ve got three great deals to help you “Get Real” in 2013. Take a peek:
You know how it goes: It’s 8 o’clock at night and your child’s lunchbox is staring at you from across the room … yes, you should pack it. But with what? And there’s still the laundry to tend to and dishes to clean. It’d be much easier to just throw some random things in or just have her buy lunch tomorrow instead.
Whether you’re busy, fresh out of ideas or just looking for some guidance, resorting to buying the daily school lunch (or packing non-nutritious foods) is not something you need to resort to. MOMables was created by a mother of three children who was in a similar situation. And so she cooked up a business that solved the dilemma for herself (and many others in the process). The concept is getting eaten up by moms and their kids everywhere.
Sign up for this service to receive a weekly menu plan and shopping list each Friday. Log in, print it, shop and prepare. Get all of the good stuff without the guesswork. Think Grilled Meatloaf Sandwich, Happy Green Pig Salad (pasta with ham and spinach), and some of the tried and trues (PB&J) with a twist. The meals are not fancy but are nutritious. They can all be made in approximately 10 minutes. And the best news? With the sale price that they are offering to our readers, the meal plans cost only 11 cents a day for the first 3 months.

**Offer good through Jan. 9.
Though Lisa may not often tout working out, it’s no new news that exercising is not only good for you, but it also makes you feel good. As a certified group exercise instructor, I’ve taught various classes for over 12 years and have been taking them for even longer. I recently took some classes at Hilliard Studio Method in Charlotte and was humbled by the experience. I aspire to look like owner and instructor Liz Hilliard (58-years-old) at her age, even though she kicked my butt. Firm (pardon the pun) believers of combining exercise with fueling your body correctly, they have created a core-centric, complete body workout that uses a mini stability ball (included with the DVD) and hand weights.
Liz and her daughter’s legs and arms look amazing … and I can see why. Little movements for your legs, your abs and your arms will leave your body parts shaking – but coming back for more. It’s truly a love-hate thing. If you didn’t feel so good afterwards, you’d never come back! But it’s clear that it’s doing something right for your body.
The ladies just recently released their second DVD. No need to go to a gym (and no need to join a gym and pay a monthly membership, for that matter). This workout can be done in just 60 minutes at home. I’m a huge fan of the workout program and think you’ll love it, too.
Through January 9th, 100 Days of Real Food readers can receive 20% off the Hillard Studio Method DVD and stability ball – use code 100DAYS when purchasing. Your entire body will thank you for it!
Carrie Vitt began her journey to eating real foods over 5 years ago. But it wasn’t out of a desire to “get healthy;” it was out of necessity. She was 27 years-old and was having debilitating headaches. Taking various medications just didn’t seem like the answer to Carrie, and as luck would have it, an article caught her eye and prompted her to try organic foods. Starting small, she began changing her produce to organic. And would you believe, her migraines began decreasing. Fast forward and Vitt started a blog and also penned her first book, which has received rave reviews.
Whether you’re just starting out or you’re a pro at eating real, Deliciously Organic can be your answer to preparing great tasting, real recipes that don’t have an obscene amount of ingredients and which don’t require you to be chef in training. We are huge fans of Carrie’s and think that if you try any of her recipes you’ll agree – her meals are delicious!
Two special offers (available through Jan. 9) to get you started:
The Deliciously Organic Cookbook PLUS 6 months of weekly meal plans for just $40 (a $55 savings)
The new “Real Food, Real Fast” 2 week menu plan* for $4.99 (a 50% savings)
What you’ll get with the “Real Food, Real Fast” one-time purchase menu plan (not an ongoing subscription):
- 2 weeks of dinner meal plans that include 1 dessert and 1 snack.
- Recipes for those on the go who still desire meals made with unprocessed, nourishing, real, whole foods.
- Recipes that can be incorporated into your steady rotation.
- Coordinating printable shopping list, cooking times and helpful quick tips to get dinner on the table quickly.
Now we want to hear from you: what’s the biggest hurdle that you’re facing (or fearing) in getting your resolution started?
