Why We Love the “Camp Kitchen” Guide!
I think it’s so important to teach your kids how to cook! Not only is it a critical life skill, but cooking [from scratch] is “the single most important thing we could do as a family to improve our health and general well-being.” So don’t send them off into the world not knowing how to prepare some good-for-you meals. That would be quite a shock, and honestly, a disservice when they move out on their own! It’s never too late to start, and with summer here, there’s no better time than now to spend some quality time in the kitchen with your kids. Despite all the learning our children do when they are off at school, there are some important household duties, such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry, that just aren’t covered under the school curriculum. That’s why I’m a big fan of the “Camp Kitchen” Guide, a 44-page PDF created by our very own Kiran (mother of four, Holistic Health Coach, and part of our team for 7 years now)! Read on to see how you can easily get your kids cooking this summer or go ahead and grab your copy now.
– In a world that seems to revolve around digital distractions and begging for screen time, coming up with engaging activities that will keep your kids entertained and allow for you to spend some quality time together can be a struggle…
With “Camp Kitchen” you can spend some quality time with your kids, they can learn new skills, and you can do it without breaking the bank! (And did I mention that they would have fun learning to create and enjoy healthy culinary creations?)
- 5 Themed Days (with 3 Recipes Each)
- A Supply Checklist for Everything You’ll Need
- Shopping Lists & Visuals for Each Day
- Guidelines for Involvement No Matter the Age or Experience Level
- Healthy Meals that are Fun to Make and to Eat
Camp doesn’t need to be a huge financial or time commitment. With Camp Kitchen, your child can learn valuable lessons along with life skills in the kitchen for less than a meal out. Plus, you don’t have to schedule trips back and forth to get them to and from camp activities because all they need to do is head into your kitchen. Cooking camps can cost hundreds of dollars and have no guarantees. Sure they’ll cook while they’re there—but what about afterward? Will they be able to take what they learn and bring it into your kitchen? Camp Kitchen enables them to learn in an environment that is familiar and will provide the setting for endless meal creations to come.
