I have your first cookbook which I use often. I have a question though that I’ve been waiting to ask for awhile. I realize that butter is a whole food choice but it’s still saturated fat. Many of your recipes call for a lot of butter. This just doesn’t struck me as healthy. Are there other options, especially when it comes to baking? For example, we love your granola but it calls for 6 tablespoons of butter. That just seems like it makes the granola less healthy. What are your thoughts on this?
Thank you!
Hello. These posts will help you understand our stance on butter and other fats: https://www.100daysofrealfood.com/mini-pledge-week-6-no-low-fat-lite-or-nonfat-food-products/, and https://www.100daysofrealfood.com/how-to-find-and-avoid-trans-fat/ https://www.100daysofrealfood.com/problem-refined-oils/
What a great looking round up!
Thank you so much for the mention and the opportunity to be an ambassador! I’ve made so many recipes from the new cookbook but our favorite is the hashbrown casserole and sausage frittata! Even making it for our Christmas Eve family brunch! Thanks for sharing some great recipes with us!
Your new cookbook on page 89 for the chicken Thai pasta salad says I recommend the best whole chicken page 103. Page 103 of the new cookbook is crab stuffed avacados and page 103 of the old book is sushi bar info…..
Thanks so much for the opportunity to be an ambassador, Lisa! Many of my friends, family, and readers have oohed and aahed over your book. :)
On a side note, I recently migrated my Righteous Fit Mom site to a new web home, but my review of your cookbook is still alive and well at this link: http://www.sarahforgrave.com/2016/10/24/top-8-reasons-love-lisa-leakes-new-cookbook/.
Thanks again!
Sarah
I’ve taken somewhat of a hiatus in terms of recipe developing for my Blog, and have decided to focus a bit more on other people recipes (i.e., cookbooks!). I’d love to write a review for your cookbook – if this is still possible! ;-)
Shoot, my name was missed too! I’m at simplelifedreamer.com and I’d love to be added to the mentions. Here’s my review http://simplelifedreamer.com/real-food-cookbook-review/ LOVED the book :-)
Thanks for the mention! We’ve made the veggie cream cheese dip a few times now, and each time my kids say “are you making that yummy dip again?”
Oh no! There must have been a mistake with my blog too. I’m at http://www.theminifoodie.com, and my review is at https://theminifoodie.com/2016/10/19/the-best-new-real-food-cookbook-and-sneak-peek-recipes/
Thanks so much, you made an excellent book!

Oh no! I got left off the list, Lisa. I’m christinanifong.com and you can find my review at: https://christinanifong.com/2016/10/19/cookbook-review-100-days-of-real-food-fast-and-fabulous/
Hope you’ll add me to your list of ambassadors.
