Before you get too excited…this giveaway is for South Charlotte residents only! There is nothing I hate more than leaving people out, but unfortunately that’s the only way this one will work. Here’s what will be given to one lucky South Charlotte winner:
- $50 worth of free groceries from the Ballantyne Earth Fare location (which cannot be transferred to any other locations)
- Two lovely hours with me at your house to help you clean out your pantry/fridge, answer all of your “real food” questions, and come up with a customized week-long meal plan for you and/or your family…after all, we must decide how you will spend your $50!
There is one catch. By entering the contest the winner is agreeing to being profiled on 100DaysofRealFood.com. It wouldn’t be any fun if we couldn’t share all the details of this “real food” transformation with the rest of the readers!

Oops, I just realized we are now in MAY and the contest is over! As you can tell, I am QUITE behind on my Google Reader. Do you offer consultations for a fee?
I’m 50 lbs overweight, breastfeeding 2 babies and training for my first triathlon. My body is STARVING for real food. I’m making great strides with the exercise piece but really need some help with the food piece! My family and I have made a few baby steps – Lakeview milk, local beef, planted a garden, the whole wheat conversion…but I need you to get in my world and help me take the BIG PLUNGE! I’m tired of dabbling and DESPERATE for change!
I am a single parent with an 8 year old son. We are very active with my work, his school and sports – so we find ourselves out and about and eating on the fly too often. I’m trying hard to ensure he gets a balanced diet but it doesn’t always work (can you hear the golden arches in the distance). For the health of my son and myself I’d love to get some help on creating a healthier lifestyle.
I want to win this challenge because I care about my health, but convenience gets the best of my eating habits.
As a new stay at home mom with a 4 month old, I have really been focusing on eliminating processed foods from our home & diets so that I start my family off on the right foot. I find that I spent A TON of my time every week going to Earth Fare for our produce & bulk items, the butcher for meat, Great Harvest for our bread, HT for misc items, etc etc. But, I feel like after all of that we have nothing to eat in the house. My husband works from home and every day he asks me if there’s anything to eat! It makes me feel terrible as a wife and not to mention because I’m still spending a lot of money on groceries! I’m afraid I might be scared of foods now…help!
Shopping at Earth Fare as much as possible allows our family (3 year old Boy and 1 year old girl)stay healthy. With economic times the way that they are it is getting difficult to keep the organics on the table. With 30 minutes to prepare meals for the family I am running out of recipes. It would be great to learn how to eat right and stay within a budget.
Being a Health Coach it will also benefit me to pass this information on to my clients. Although I have studied many diets this is one that I feel people can really live on. I would appreciate the opportunity to receive the one on one training that you can offer to stock our pantry/fridge with Real Food.
I am already trying to eat real food as much as possible, and my husband humors me. We’re a young couple with a mortgage, and sometimes real foods are neither convenient nor cost effective enough for us. I’m sure I could make it work, but I need some pointers!

I’ve watched Food Inc, and I’m reading Nina Planck’s Real Food. My heart and mind are convinced it is worth the switch, but I can’t at all figure out how to do this affordably. I want to honor our family’s food budget, but I feel a bit over my head! Help!

I’m a mom of a 13 month old and pregnant with another due in August. When I get home it’s a mad rush to figure out dinner and often find that I resort to processed food b/c it’s quicker but the guilt is starting to get to me as I know that this is the time I can really shape and mold my little ones to eat healthy!
I need help preparing meals using items from earthfare and my garden.
