Here's what you can expect from this program.
This is a 6-week online program to help you cut out processed food one step at a time. We’re calling these “mini” pledges because each week you’ll be presented with one simple change to make to your diet. This program will also provide you with all the resources you’ll need to successfully complete each weekly pledge. Each pledge is designed to be completed one week at a time (i.e. not build on previous weeks) to allow focus on the pledge at hand, but of course you can feel free to combine healthy habits if you wish.
Your first mini-pledge will be available on Friday. We recommend beginning the pledge on the following Sunday or Monday so you’ll have a few days to prepare, food shop, etc. You will be notified via email each Friday morning when a new pledge is unlocked, or you can simply login to this website to view them as time goes by. I encourage you to invite a friend or family member to join you in the program – it’s a great way to hold yourself accountable and make it more fun!
If you haven’t already, please bookmark the special login link found in your welcome email and use that to access the program each week. If you’d like to access it from multiple devices, simply bookmark that link on each one. You can also access the course from any page on our website by clicking the My Account link found at the bottom of the page.
Each Friday you will receive a reminder email indicating a new pledge is unlocked.
Note the links from these emails will work if you are already logged in, but otherwise you may be prompted to enter your email and password again. Also you do not have to click through the email links; you can easily login as indicated above.
Comment on Lessons
Part of being successful with a challenge like this is feeling like you have a support group. You are able to comment on each lesson and interact with your fellow Mini Pledgers throughout the next 6 weeks, so take full advantage of this fun feature. Practice by commenting below and introducing yourself!
Both of my best-selling cookbooks are great additional resources for this program, but are totally optional. If you ordered the cookbook bundle, please allow up to 10 days for delivery, and don’t worry if you haven’t received it by the time you start week 1.
While I don’t think anyone should live by strict food rules for life, my hope is that these mini-pledges will help you gain a new perspective and encourage you to make at least some positive long-term changes in the long run. No matter what though, I know these pledges will get you to start reading ingredient labels – the most important part of cutting out processed food!
