This contest is now closed. In a few days the winners will be emailed directly.

It’s no secret that planning ahead is the key to avoiding processed food. But the job of figuring out what to make, writing out the shopping list, and suiting everyone in your family’s dietary preferences can be a dreaded task. So we’re excited to share with you a new (to us) meal planning service that provides it all, specifically tailored to what you are looking for: PlateJoy!

Personalized Meal Plans from PlateJoy on 100 Days of Real Food

About PlateJoy

PlateJoy, the sponsor of today’s post and giveaway (see below!), sends you a short (3 minute) quiz about your personal preferences so they can provide you with personalized recipe suggestions and coordinating shopping lists. For example,

  • Are you vegetarian?
  • Not a fan of shellfish, soy, or perhaps peanuts?
  • Following the Whole30 diet?
  • Don’t eat red meat?

No problem. You can note this in your quiz, and your recipes will support these dietary preferences. You can even provide input on how long you want meals to take to cook, whether you do or don’t like leftovers, if you want recipes for breakfast, lunch, or even snacks, and more!

Once your personalization is set, you can start to create new menus. PlateJoy offers recipe suggestions, but you can adjust it as desired. For example, say that:

  • You know next Tuesday is going to be super busy, so you want a meal that can be thrown into your slow cooker.
  • Or you have a bunch of spinach from your garden that you want to use.

No problem. You can search by preferences such as “slow cooker” or “spinach,” and it will offer related recipes. I love that their system also focuses on using similar ingredients throughout the week, thus lowering your shopping bills and also minimizing waste.

Other benefits of PlateJoy:

  • The system keeps stock of staples that you have on hand in your pantry from past meal plans, so you’re only buying what you need.
  • Nutritional information is provided.
  • Shopping lists are available on mobile devices and in a printable format. And you can add additional ingredients to this list to help keep you organized.
  • You can also have ingredients delivered via Instacart in these areas (note: additional delivery fee applies).

This video offers a wonderful overview of just how well PlateJoy works.

Whether you’re a busy person who wants to eat better (even with special dietary needs) but doesn’t enjoy the planning part or you simply want grocery shopping to be more efficient, you should definitely check out the PlateJoy program!

Thank you for sharing! Odd that a giveaway contest is only open to the continental parts of the US. Is something going to be shipped? Alaska is technically on the same continent as the lower 48…
