Chocolate pudding used to be a regular thing for me as a kid and also for my kids before we cut out all highly processed food. This recipe for Homemade Chocolate Pudding only takes 5 minutes to make, and it’s a treat that’s definitely worth it!
I think this might be a dangerous new recipe to have on hand because these whole-wheat madeleines are so good and so easy! We shared some with a good friend, and she couldn’t believe they’d been made with whole-wheat flour because they were so light and tasty.

Their naturally small size helps keep serving sizes in check, and this little video shows how simple this recipe really is. 4-Ingredient Molten Lava Cakes 4.5 from 6 votes Course: Dessert Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 8 minutes Total Time: 18 minutes Servings  (adjust to suit): 10 mini cakes Adapted from a recipe by Mark Bittman Print Ingredients 8 tablespoons butter, 1 stick 3/4 cup chocolate chips 2 eggs 2 egg yolks, discard or use egg whites elsewhere 2 tablespoons sugar Instructions Preheat oven to 450 degrees F and line a muffin pan with parchment paper muffin liners. Melt butter and chocolate chips together over low heat until smooth. Let cool slightly. In a large bowl whisk together the eggs and sugar. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture until well combined. This Blueberry Lemon Bundt Cake didn’t last long. I had it sitting on a cake plate on the counter for a dinner with friends, and it was amazing how many people immediately said, “Oh, that looks good.” And thankfully it lived up to their expectations.

The cookies I took to my neighbor’s cookie exchange were one of my all-time favorites – Snickerdoodles! I even used half whole-wheat flour to make them a little better, and I honestly don’t even think you could tell, because the outcome was deeelicious.

Okay, just to be clear up front – it takes only 5 minutes to stir up the batter for these homemade brownies, but of course a little longer than that to actually bake them! But as I was making this batch I was thinking how it really doesn’t take much longer to make brownies from scratch than it does to add some eggs and other stuff to one of these lovely boxes of brownie mix pictured down below.
I am so excited about this recipe. I mean how can you not be when we are talking about dessert?!! If only I would have thought about this sooner. The last few months of 2013 were like a hosting extravaganza at our house for some reason. It seemed like every weekend we were cooking dinner for friends, and the idea of a dessert like this that could be made in advance, tastes deeeelicious, and is also automatically the perfect serving size would have been a big hit. Oh well, next time! For now we’ll just have to enjoy these ourselves, and let me tell you what – that’s gonna be no problem at all. :)

Today I am excited to share another dessert recipe with you that I absolutely love and that’s also perfect for the holidays…Homemade Chocolate Soufflés! This is the recipe I’ve made for Christmas dessert in years past and, after resurrecting it for our blogging team’s holiday dinner over the weekend (details below), there is no question I’ll be serving souffles again for the big day this year! They were a super big hit and let’s be honest – who doesn’t love a warm, delectable chocolate soufflé especially when it’s topped with homemade ice cream?! (Okay, who else’s mouth is watering here?)
