  1. …my kids are 6 and 8 years old! And just to correct myself, I do give my daughter the little 100 calorie pack small little choc. cookies and my son eats oatmeal cookies! Those are their little treats! ;-)

  2. I have wanted to do this for a very long time for my family but I don’t really know how! My children are HomeSchooled so I know that is an advantage that we have!!! I do not serve them candy, cake, cookies, snack cakes, soda, ice cream…and not really any sweets of any kind! And although they only eat Chicken and Turkey (Breast only), I still end up buying processed Chicken patties and Boxes of flavored rice and fruit snacks and 1-2 cereals!… I really want to do 100% better with the processed foods but I feel that I limit them so much as is already, (which they are completely ok with) that I do not know what else I can incorporate! I mean I do your basic fruits & veggies! Which they LOVE! Apples, Oranges, Grapes, Bananas, Cantolope, Tomatoes, Green Bell peppers, Green beans, Corn, Carrots…I mean just your basics! But Im slowly but surely starting to see that there is so much more!…I have done no research but just stumbled across the “100 days of Real Food” from a friends status on Facebook! And this is how I found you!
In summary! I am in awe of what you do and I am so happy that you have done this, and are doing this! This is very encouraging and I look forward to learning better ways to feed myself and family!
I just have to start! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Lisa Leake! I know you only started this with your own family, but thank you for taking the time to share so that others can too benefit from your obtained knowledge!
    God Bless!

  3. Love, Love, Love the interview! Short, sweet and to the point! So much more encouraged! Thank you Lisa Leake!… I want to share my post here, that I posted on your main Blog page! :-)

  4. Great Job Lisa – I’ve been telling my friends about you in Ohio, glad to see you are getting some additional media time! I love that you say it doesn’t have to be “all or nothing”…doesn’t make it so intimidating. We have benefited from your information – keep it up and THANKS!!

  5. Well done!! You’ve helped me in so many ways over the past 4 months! Our family is so much healthier I can’t even begin to thank you enough!

  6. Fabulous! I loved how you put it all in such positive terms! Keep up the great work, you are a great voice for a movement that is gaining ground. I actually heard a dietician on The Today Show use the term “real food”. :)

  7. Wonderful. I love that you are change, without being fear based or placing harsh judgments on others. You are being positive, and cheerful about change. I think a majority of people will find you relatable, and comforting as I suspect we will see more and more of you. Thank you for being a trailblazer.

  8. Great job. I love the ending when you say it is up to parents to hand the child the fruit or pretzels versus the Cheetos. So true. I think the true test in how well we teach our kids is how they eat once they move out of the house. If they continue the clean eating. Love love love what you do. Thank you!

  9. As always, you did a great job. You passion came thru on this video. I also love the fact that you are not real 100% real food all the time. I don’t think I could have gone real foods for a year without knowing you occasionally let your family have limited processed foods. Thank you for being honest with us. We were pretty bad in December. However, we got back on track with real foods. Please don’t let the negative comments that I have seen in past discouraging you from what you do best. Thank you for your hard work.

    1. I can’t imagine real food 100% of the time being realistic! Sounds too stressful to me to be worth it :) Glad to hear you are getting back on track.

  10. You were great! It was the best “cliff notes” you could offer. I especially liked your last point about offering your children the healthy options over the fast food options. Congratulations!

  11. Thanks for pushing that message out there with grace and style. Quaker must be quaking! Nabisco is at risk-o with the Ritz dough… asking everywhere, “where’d she go? Can anyone stop her?”
Never fear, the truth is here, and that’s been made perfectly clear.
