Chicken Taco Pasta
Craving tacos and pasta? This creamy Chicken Taco Pasta is incredibly flavorful! Enjoy tender chicken and pasta shells smothered in a zesty, cheesy sauce with a hint of spice. It's a quick, one-pan meal with a flavor everyone will love.

Ingredients

pound
chicken breast
cut into 1 inch pieces
2
tablespoon
butter
1
tablespoon
minced garlic
2
tablespoon
taco seasoning
1
can
Rotel tomatoes
or salsa
1
cup
chicken broth
1
cup
whole milk
2
cups
whole wheat pasta shells

cups
shredded cheese
fresh herbs
to garnish
Instructions
First, add the chicken cubes to a large skillet over medium heat with 1 tablespoon of butter.
Once browned on all sides, add in the other tablespoon of butter and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant.
Then, add in the taco seasoning, tomatoes, broth, and milk. Bring to a boil.
Once boiling, add in the pasta shells. Boil for 7 to 8 minutes, or until pasta is cooked.
Turn the heat down to very low. Then, add in the shredded cheese. Stir until melted and the sauce has thickened.
Finally, top with fresh herbs if desired. Serve!
Notes
Feel free to use ground turkey, pork, chicken, or beef.
You can use any type of pasta shells you prefer. If you are gluten free, use gluten free shells.
If desired, replace the whole milk with half and half. We do not recommend skim milk since it is too thin.
The longer this cooks, the thicker the sauce will become.
Store any leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
