Taco Pasta

ground beef

tablespoon
butter

tablespoon
minced garlic

tablespoon
taco seasoning

Rotel tomatoes
or salsa
1
cup
chicken broth
1
cup
whole milk
2
cups
whole wheat pasta shells

shredded cheese
fresh herbs
to garnish
Instructions
First, add the ground beef to a large skillet over medium heat. Once browned, drain any excess grease.
Then, add in the butter and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant.
Then, add in the taco seasoning, tomatoes, broth, and milk. Bring to a boil.
Once boiling, add in the pasta shells. Boil for 7 to 8 minutes, or until pasta is cooked.
Turn the heat down to very low. Then, add in the shredded cheese. Stir until melted and the sauce has thickened.
Finally, top with fresh herbs if desired. Serve!
Notes
Feel free to use ground turkey, pork, or chicken.
You can use any type of pasta shells you prefer. If you are gluten free, use gluten free shells.
If desired, replace the whole milk with half and half. We do not recommend skim milk since it is too thin.
The longer this cooks, the thicker the sauce will become.
Store any leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
