Beginner's Guide to Essential Oils

Many people swear by essential oils as home remedies and claim they help keep their kids out of the doctor's office. Though these claims are not backed by the FDA, it certainly sounds intriguing! So if you want to figure out how to incorporate them into your family's routine, here are some good ways to start.

Top 5 Oils

  1. Lavender
Lavender Population is known for being calming by reducing anxiety and acting as a stress reliever. It can also help with minor burns and reducing scarring and other skin issues including eczema and psoriasis.
    -
  2. Lemon
Lemon can be refreshing, energizing, and uplifting. It can also be added to your favorite household cleaner to help refresh and sanitize.
    -
  3. Peppermint
Peppermint is stimulating and can help enhance alertness and improve your energy. It can also relieve headaches, nausea, digestive problems, and congestion. Because of its menthol content, peppermint has a cooling effect which can also help reduce a fever and relieve pain.
    -
  4. Tea Tree
Tea Tree is often known for its ability to help combat acne and oily skin. You can also add a few drops to laundry to help keep things fresh.
    -
  5. Frankincense
Frankincense frereana is especially prized for its skin rejuvenating properties. It's great for wrinkles, scars, dry skin and damaged skin, and can help heal a wound or cut. It can also calm and relax your body and uplift your mood.

I would love these oils because I want to be able to give my children a much more healthy environment to live in (not just food they eat) and with these there are so many possibilities I could be substituting for the chemical-filled products/air that we have now.

I haven't heard of this line of EO's before and I am very interested to find out more about them. I have wanted to sign up with other companies in the past, but just never had the money to be able to afford the initial start up for them. I would love to try more EO's. And be able to have a chance at learning more with using them for me and my family.

There are so many different kinds of oils I cant remember which does what but by how many people swear by their benefits I want to start learning and taking them. I believe that these are very powerful -- in Europe, they regulate essential oils just like the medicines they are. I just used clove oil last week to successfully fight a tooth abscess instead of going to the dentist!! I have a chronic illness but feel that essential oils work far better than pharmaceuticals ... unfortunately, since they aren't covered by health insurance, I cannot always buy what I need. This would be a great help to me!!

I have used EOs for a few months now. Has helped with allergies and such and saved us the trouble of a few doctors visits (used a blend on my back when I pulled a muscle, without which I would have needed a muscle relaxer, and treated my toddler's sinus infection). I would love to win this set!
