Beginner's Guide to Essential Oils

Many people swear by essential oils as home remedies and claim they help keep their kids out of the doctor's office. Though these claims are not backed by the FDA, it certainly sounds intriguing! So if you want to figure out how to incorporate them into your family's routine, here are some good ways to start.

Top 5 Oils

  1. Lavender
Lavender Population is known for being calming by reducing anxiety and acting as a stress reliever. It can also help with minor burns and reducing scarring and other skin issues including eczema and psoriasis.
    -
  2. Lemon
Lemon can be refreshing, energizing, and uplifting. It can also be added to your favorite household cleaner to help refresh and sanitize.
    -
  3. Peppermint
Peppermint is stimulating and can help enhance alertness and improve your energy. It can also relieve headaches, nausea, digestive problems, and congestion. Because of its menthol content, peppermint has a cooling effect which can also help reduce a fever and relieve pain.
    -
  4. Tea Tree
Tea Tree is often known for its ability to help combat acne and oily skin. You can also add a few drops to laundry to help keep things fresh.
    -
  5. Frankincense
Frankincense frereana is especially prized for its skin rejuvenating properties. It's great for wrinkles, scars, dry skin and damaged skin, and can help heal a wound or cut. It can also calm and relax your body and uplift your mood.

Top 5 KidSafe Synergies

Plant Therapy also has a line of KidSafe Synergies, which are basically different blends. Here are their top 5 for summer:

    -
  3. Ban The Bugs

    -
  4. Calming The Child

    -

I would love to win this, I have been dabbling in essential oils since Christmas when I made sugar scrub for gifts. Essentials can get to be expensive. I am on a limited budget and I would love to try different oils for different things. My next project is making Lemon Essential Oil Melts for the shower....thank you for the opportunity!

Ive tried the multilevel marketing brands but have been turned off by their marketing and prices! I believe my son suffers from allergies and conventional medicine has been ineffective. I would love to try oils and see if they work

I have been interested in learning more about oils and incorporating them more into my everyday life. I have also thought about getting involved in selling oils, but have been able to afford to do so. These kits would be perfect to kick start my learning! Thank you for having such a wonderful give-away!

I would love to try the essential oils. I believe that pure and clean products are not only safe for the environment but safe for the body.

I've had strange skin allergies that no doctor has been able to figure out. I'd love to try these out and attempt to alleviate the problems.

We are trying to get into essential oils for the health of our family but have not been able to afford some of the higher end oils! This would be a great opportunity for us to start using them! We prefer using natural everything in our household and this would be a big help!

Yes, yes yes! To essential oils for so many reasons, but mainly because they work, are given to us freely from our great Mother Earth, and serve a multitude of healing when applied in a variety of combinations. I have used them, made them a part of my children's up bringing, and now it is time to gift their essence to my grandchildren.
