Beginner's Guide to Essential Oils

Many people swear by essential oils as home remedies and claim they help keep their kids out of the doctor's office. Though these claims are not backed by the FDA, it certainly sounds intriguing! So if you want to figure out how to incorporate them into your family's routine, here are some good ways to start.

Top 5 Oils

  1. Lavender
Lavender Population is known for being calming by reducing anxiety and acting as a stress reliever. It can also help with minor burns and reducing scarring and other skin issues including eczema and psoriasis.
    -
  2. Lemon
Lemon can be refreshing, energizing, and uplifting. It can also be added to your favorite household cleaner to help refresh and sanitize.
    -
  3. Peppermint
Peppermint is stimulating and can help enhance alertness and improve your energy. It can also relieve headaches, nausea, digestive problems, and congestion. Because of its menthol content, peppermint has a cooling effect which can also help reduce a fever and relieve pain.
    -
  4. Tea Tree
Tea Tree is often known for its ability to help combat acne and oily skin. You can also add a few drops to laundry to help keep things fresh.
    -
  5. Frankincense
Frankincense frereana is especially prized for its skin rejuvenating properties. It's great for wrinkles, scars, dry skin and damaged skin, and can help heal a wound or cut. It can also calm and relax your body and uplift your mood.

It would be so awesome to try additional oils that would help the physical & mental health of me & my family. They would help eliminate toxic cleaning supplies too.

I am very interested in trying out Plant Therapy's kid safe line, I love how they created blends special for children and I also find it very helpful that they put whether the oil is kidsafe or not. I am trying out new companies and love what I have researched so far about Plant Therapy. They seem to really care about their customers needs.

I honestly would like to win because I want to learn about the essential oils. I have heard so much about them, but they are pricey and without winning this, I am not sure I would have the opportunity to try them out.

Trying to learn more about EOs. I want to use them for natural cleaning, stress relief and help with sleep. My son has Sensory Processing Disorder, and EOs are supposed to help keeping him calm and focused.

One of my coworkers was telling me about how they used essential oils in their classroom to help the students stay calm and focused. He even said that he had less absences this year than in his entire career, which he contributed to the essential oil diffuser in his classroom. I would love to try this in my own classroom and my home!

I would like to start using more natural ways to treat myself as well as my family. I am a nurse practitioner so I believe in the power of medications; however I think it is much better for us to use natural substances to cure us as well as the help keep us healthy.

I love Plant Therapy oils because I know I can trust them. They have had lots of testing done on them for purity and they have always passed. I have bought other brands of oils who I later found out were adulterated. I will always stick with Plant therapy!
