Beginner's Guide to Essential Oils

Many people swear by essential oils as home remedies and claim they help keep their kids out of the doctor's office. Though these claims are not backed by the FDA, it certainly sounds intriguing! So if you want to figure out how to incorporate them into your family's routine, here are some good ways to start.

Top 5 Oils

  1. Lavender
Lavender Population is known for being calming by reducing anxiety and acting as a stress reliever. It can also help with minor burns and reducing scarring and other skin issues including eczema and psoriasis.
    -
  2. Lemon
Lemon can be refreshing, energizing, and uplifting. It can also be added to your favorite household cleaner to help refresh and sanitize.
    -
  3. Peppermint
Peppermint is stimulating and can help enhance alertness and improve your energy. It can also relieve headaches, nausea, digestive problems, and congestion. Because of its menthol content, peppermint has a cooling effect which can also help reduce a fever and relieve pain.
    -
  4. Tea Tree
Tea Tree is often known for its ability to help combat acne and oily skin. You can also add a few drops to laundry to help keep things fresh.
    -
  5. Frankincense
Frankincense frereana is especially prized for its skin rejuvenating properties. It's great for wrinkles, scars, dry skin and damaged skin, and can help heal a wound or cut. It can also calm and relax your body and uplift your mood.

I would love to try Plant Therapy's essential oils. The website indicates they are 100% pure with no additives, chemicals or pesticides which is a winner for me since my family is on the journey of becoming *unprocessed* in as many areas as possible! Winning the giveaway (either set) would make that journey another step closer to reality.

I'd like to give these a try and become a believer of EO's. I am critical and a non-believer of fads. It takes some hard evidence before I will get on the "bandwagon". Many of my friends that use EO's love them. I just am very hestitant to invest the money into something if it doesn't work. My family would love to find an alternative to chemicals products.

I have, over the past couple months, started to get interested in essential oils as a recommendation from a dear friend. My family has had a lot of illness and random skin conditions that I wanted a healthy, natural alternative to treat with. Essential oils is a great place to start! This kit would be awesome to have!

I have use essential oils to make fragrances for all purposes and/or sprays. I experimented with fragrance lamps for a short while but now that I am registered in aesthetician programs, I would like to incorporate essential oils into my future business as components of products or in a line on their own.

I LOVE Plant Therapy. My husband I just began using essential oils last week. We are IN LOVE with them. We have a diffuser which we run each evening and choose a Synergy to match the mood for the day; calming, relax, head-ease, even sensual! The pleasing smells also work wonders on our cats who seem much more relaxed and even sleep longer (yay me!). One of my cats has asthma and this does not bother him in the least, unlike the store-bought smelly things. So happy with these oils!

Is like to try because you can use essential oils for so much including natural bug sprays and creating all natural cleaners. Besides the fact that you can use to enhance your attitude or mood, I feel like there's definitely something worth exploring here. Thank you for the opportunity.
