It’s that time again, friends. Time to get gifts for our cherished and loved ones, show them how much they mean to us, and let them know we’re thinking of them. Not sure what to get or looking for some additional options? Well, you’re in the right place. Here’s a list of our 2016 gift ideas from our favorite sponsors, with some discounts included! And you may just find something for yourself, too! :)
For the gardener (or wanna be gardener)
Originally known for their Mushroom Farm which allows you to grow organic oyster mushrooms in just 10 days, Back to the Roots has a full line of Ready to Grow products that make fun gifts for the ambitious to seasoned gardeners. Their Garden in a Can gift set makes it fun and easy to harvest organic herbs right from your windowsill – just plant, water, and grow! It’s perfect for teachers, caregivers, kids, and basically anyone who would enjoy growing organic herbs easily. Also, check out their Garden in a Jar kit. I gifted these to my kids’ teachers last year and (shhh!) have them on my list for a few others already this year. Check out their full line of fun offerings here, which are all organic, non-GMO, and guaranteed to grow.
For the moms
Gotta get a gift for someone with kids? Let me introduce Squooshi, our main squeeze, though this may not be your first introduction because we have been long-time fans of these reusable food pouches. Perfect for offering healthy, homemade foods and snacks for kids of all ages (and moms) on the go, you can fill the pouches with your favorite grain, veggie, legume, dairy, and fruit combos. Kids will love the fun packaging, and you’ll love knowing that it’s healthy and homemade. Make them ahead and freeze, and when they’re empty, throw them in the dishwasher to get clean. Check out their kits and see how easy it is to get started taking real food along with you, wherever you go. Use code 100DRF to save 20% off of your entire order.
For the kiddos
Though they’ve been around for centuries, essential oils are all the rage now – and with good reason. There are numerous benefits to the oils, but you want to be sure that they are quality sourced. Enter Plant Therapy which makes certified organic essential oils and even offers a kids line – KidsSafe®. And they’ve just debuted some adorable stuffed animals, KidSafe® Lil’ Stinkers™, which have an attached Safety Scent Cartridge™ that allows parents to put a few drops of a Lil’ Stinkers™ blend or other KidSafe® essential oil on a scent pad and then secure it inside the toy. Kids can safely enjoy the KidSafe® Lil’ Stinkers’™ soothing snuggles and scents whenever they need a little extra love and warmth. My kiddos each got one of these animals and have been carrying the sweet smelling snugglies around with them for days. Check them out here.
For he/she who does not want to stink
Or for those who do not want to use chemicals to avoid B.O. All those in favor, please raise your hand. Wait! Haha – not before using some Primal Pit Paste deodorant made with real, natural ingredients that actually work! Our society has become dependent on processed deodorants, just like processed food. But you don’t have to be! Primal Pit Paste comes in 3 different strengths to ensure that everyone stays stench free – from kiddos with budding stinky pits to strapping, sweaty men who may just require a stronger product. Not sure which one to get? Try out the sampler pack for a fun stocking stuffer or check with the team at Primal Pit Paste who will help you find just the right strength. Our gift to you: take 25% off of your entire order with code 100DAYSGIFT.
For lunch lovers
If you’re a regular reader of this site, you know we’ve been long-time fans of Yumboxes, the kid-friendly (and adult-approved) lunchboxes that make packing healthy lunches a snap. Prepare balanced healthy meals perfect for school or work. The leakproof single lid ensures that food won’t leak outside the box or into other compartments. And with the fun colors and designs, your kiddos may just help you with packing and/or cleaning duties. The Yumbox Panino (shown below) is perfect for sandwiches, salads, sides, and snacks, and there are many colors to choose from. Save 20% off of your purchase with code HAPPY20 – oh, and get free shipping on orders of $56+ through December 31, 2016.
For that person who has everything
We all have that person or persons who seem to have everything. Or for whom we simply do not know what to get. Not to worry – we have you covered: Ancestry DNA allows people to uncover their ethnic mix, discover distant relatives, and find meaningful insights about who they are and where they come from.
Last year, Lisa gifted this to her mother who simply loved it. What a unique and insightful gift this can be, and it’s suitable for anyone, regardless of age! A simple saliva test, done in the comfort of your own home, can produce results in just 6 – 8 weeks.
As a matter of fact, Lisa and her family will be taking the test themselves and debuting their results in mid-January on Facebook. So be sure to stay tuned!

For the snacker
Um, that pretty much means most of us, right?! Although not for vegans and vegetarians, anyone who likes jerky or meat sticks will be stoked about these stocking stuffers. Sure, there are other meat sticks on the market, but Nick’s Sticks are grass fed and grass finished. The have no MSG, no nitrates, no antibiotics, no hormones, no sugar, no red dye, and no gluten. What they do have is super taste created by a guy with a pretty neat story. Until Dec. 23, you can take 25% off or your order with code 100DAYS.
Which of these are you going to snag for a gift under your tree? Are there any favorites you would add to this list?
I would like to get all of them, especially Nick’s Sticks! I will definitely reread your ideas for my foodie friends!
Love grass-fed beef sticks! The graze sticks from Mission Meats are a good option too!
These are some great ideas – and I love how you divided them up! My favourite is the ‘what to get someone who has everything’, lol! I feel that’s my hubby – he doesn’t necessarily have everything but besides anything tech (which I know nothing about) he doesn’t ever ‘need anything!’
You are amazing. Loving all the great things you post. Thank you
I never heard of Nick’s Sticks, this is the perfect healthy snack packaged gift for my family who eat meat. Will visit their site right away.
