Since my oldest daughter is entering 1st grade this fall I’ve decided it’s time to do away with all our sippy cups. Plus, I’ve been getting rid of plastic in other areas of our kitchen so it seemed like the right time to upgrade the kids’ items as well. I wasn’t quite ready to start letting our daughters use the “adult” glass cups though since we keep them in a cabinet they can’t reach, and they seem rather “breakable” anyway. So I was thrilled when I learned about these kid-friendly glass tumblers that are extremely durable and chip resistant. They are the perfect solution!

I put these stackable glass cups in a big drawer that my daughters can reach, and they LOVE getting out their own cups and filling them up with water all by themselves. My four-year-old is graduating from sippy cups a little early, but she is probably the most excited. The first night she used one I think she told me a dozen times that her cup was “breakable” just like mommy’s. And since the glass is durable and tempered I don’t worry too much about it actually breaking. Although I was sure to tell them if they did accidentally break a glass not to move an inch until I came to the rescue! So far these cups seem pretty kid-proof though.

This is wonderful!!! We have been trying to switch over from plastic for quite some time. Just as you said though, our adult glasses were being broken left and right. Now we're down to only a few, as well as some coffee mugs. I would love love love to try these out. :)

These would be more for my husband, because he loves drinking out of the kids' plastic cups. I've been trying to get rid of them for months, so maybe I could just replace them with this set :)

These cups would be great! My 3 year old uses some glass cups, but they aren't as sturdy as these seem. These might put my mind to ease a bit more.

I have also been trying to phase out plastics but have been hesitant to give my toddler anything breakable, these sound great!

We'd love to have the cups to add to our collection! We've started using glass cups and coffee mugs with our 2 1/2 year old and he has done very, very well. We've had one broken glass (and I've broken one too in the same amount of time). I think the fact that now he only drinks in the kitchen, typically at the table has cut down dramatically on breakage. But our smallest glasses are still big (hence the coffee cups at times) and we are now down to just one. We would love some smaller, perfect for kids glasses and these sound awesome! And soon his sister will be ready for glasses we need more!

These cups would be a real blessing for us to try out. My children are 4, 3, and 13 months. Our 13 month old thinks she is an adult and wants to move on to cups whenever I will possibly allow. My 3 year old is just a doll, but is unfortunately very adept at knocking over her lightweight plastic (yuck!) cups. My 4 year old is really why we could use them though. He suffers from Asperger's Syndrome and one of the symptoms that he exhibits is that of always having something in his mouth and chewing on it. Because of this all of our plastic cups and the majority of the babies sippy cups are chewed up all along the edges! It gets so frustrating. This would be a safe alternative for all of my kids - unbreakable, less likely to spill, and less forgiving when chewed on not to mention way less disgusting and more environmentally friendly than plastic is. :)

I would love these! I've been switching out some of our plastic items, and while my husband and I use glasses to drink, I still use plastic cups for my son :-P. Would love to switch!
