Speaking Engagements
Lisa is available to speak at corporate events to promote wellness within your organization. Take a look at the feedback below and get in touch if you’d like more details! We can customize to include cookbooks and participation in the Real Food Mini-Pledge program as well.

I am a member of the Alexander County Friends of the Library and on the committee to bring authors to Taylorsville and would like to know about your speaker’s fee and calendar.
Thank you.
When is your speaking schedule coming out? Even though I already purchase your book. I WILL purchase another just to come and see you speak…NYC area anytime soon? I live in Nassau county and I will gladly promote your book. I have already told everyone I come across about your website, I’m sooo happy doing so!!
Hi Linda. Right now Lisa is still keeping her schedule pretty close to home. That could change, of course, so keep an eye out. :)
Hi Lisa!
I found your website shortly after you started it(I think?!) & was THRILLED to have such a wonderful ‘go-to’ place for all my MANY health questions!! Your story is so encouraging.
I have 5 children ranging in age from twins that are 8&1/2 to our oldest just turning 13. We’re trying to start this whole healthy eating journey once & for all this year…especially since 2 of our children continue to have stomach issues(hurts while & after eating & causes gastro problems).
I was wondering if you have a place on your website that says where/when you’ll be speaking. I’d LOVE to be able to attend & hear you ‘live’. I live about 20mins south of Nashville TN. Any chance you’ll be somewhere close in 2014?
Regardless, thank you SO VERY MUCH for the WEALTH of information on your website…you have truly been a blessing to our family!
Hi there! I am so glad you are enjoying the blog. I don’t have a public speaking schedule I can share at the moment (they are typically private events), but all of that will change when my book comes out in August so be on the lookout! I will share that schedule once we get closer to the release date :)
G’Day! 100Daysofrealfood,
This might be off topic, however, I am having an engagement party at a restaurant for about 70 ppl. I wasnt planning on getting a DJ but when I went to look at the restaurants all of the owners I spoke to said I should really have one because that is what a party is all about music and food. I dont know what to do! any thoughts???
Also, I feel like its too many people but it is just family and close friends and I tried to cut down but I really cant not invite certain people as much as I have tried to narrow it down (he has a large family and lots of close friends). Suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
All the Best
Just wondering if you have any 2013 speaking engagements lined up. I live in Indian Trail so I’m thrilled that group of people are so close to home!
Hi Kristen. We don’t have anything lined up right now. We’ve been pretty busy seeing this Kraft petition through. ~Amy
Hi Lisa,
I am interested in having you come for a speaking engagement (paid) in Delaware in October. Can you please contact me by email?
Thank you!
Hello there!
I trying so hard to cut out processed foods from my families diet. I am doing pretty good. The kids are having difficulty with crackers ie goldfish cheeze its etc. so any help would be great. Also is it possible to get unprocessed cheese at a local grocery store like Kroger or meijer? We eat a lot of cheese and would like to have fresh.
Hi Lisa. I would look for organic cheese at the maintstream markets – I don’t see why they shouldn’t carry at least one brand. Here is a recipe for crackers the kids might enjoy…https://www.100daysofrealfood.com/2011/03/23/recipe-easy-cheesy-crackers/. Jill
You should come to Chicago to speak sometime!! My friends and I would line up to hear you!
Hi Lisa,
I live in Michigan and was asked to speak on healthy eating and snacks for my county’s Great Start Parent Coalition. We advocate for the importance of early childhood education for children ages 0-5. Someone thought I’d be good at it. I’ve never spoke on the subject to a group but just try to do a good job feeding my family healthy meals. Do you have any tips for me or suggestions?
I would recommend covering the following key points during your presentation:
– reasons to avoid processed food
– how to define real food
– how to read/decipher food labels (share some examples)
– practical tips on how to implement changes at home/school
– simple real food meal ideas
– 3 or 4 key takeaways (including watch Food, Inc. and start reading ingredient labels!)
good luck!
:)

My daughter’s middle school had to read the Omnivore’s Dilemma, Young reader’s version for summer reading last summer. She goes to Kiser Middle School in Greensboro. We would love a visit!
