4th of July Real Food Recipe Roundup!

It’s hard to believe that Independence Day is almost upon us! And since food is such a big part of most holidays, I’ve got a bunch of real food recipe ideas for you today. The point here is that celebrations can still be fun even with real food as the focus. Although a little indulgence every now and then never hurt anyone either. :)

Before we dive in though, I want to share that starting next week I’m going to be introducing you to some guest posters on my blog, most of whom have not made an appearance here before. So I’m excited to introduce you to some new people and sites I think you’ll like. Guest posts (along with posts I’ve prepared in advance) are always a fun way to give me a little downtime when I need it. We’re currently visiting my family up north, but when we get back, we’ll be packing to move out of our house (into temporary housing until our new house is ready). While true “downtime” is highly unlikely anytime in the near future, I will need some focused time away from the blog to orchestrate all of this madness!

So anyway, I hope you’re able to enjoy some downtime with your family and friends over the upcoming holiday weekend and that these recipes help make things easier. Enjoy!

  1. nice and very interesting article, I came to read it until the end, is there any article like this on your site, I’m sure there are more interesting on your site than this. thank you for the knowledge.

  2. I made the baked beans and the fruit kabobs with dip yesterday and they were huge hits!! I love how easy the recipes are on here!

  3. So many great ideas, thanks for sharing. I love the patriotic kebob idea; I’ll definitely be adding that one to our festivities this weekend! I’m posting a Red White & Blue Popsicle tomorrow that will go perfectly with the kebabs. Fun treats without the added sugar!

    1. If you can get your hands on an electric (or hand crank) ice-cream machine you could make your own. Great idea for a 4th party! I know all the kiddos around there parts love when I get out the ice-cream maker.

We use raw milk from our Jersey cow, pastured eggs, and only real ingredients. It’s the best ice-cream you’ll ever eat!
