Beginner's Guide to Essential Oils

Many people swear by essential oils as home remedies and claim they help keep their kids out of the doctor's office. Though these claims are not backed by the FDA, it certainly sounds intriguing! So if you want to figure out how to incorporate them into your family's routine, here are some good ways to start.

Top 5 Oils

  1. Lavender
Lavender Population is known for being calming by reducing anxiety and acting as a stress reliever. It can also help with minor burns and reducing scarring and other skin issues including eczema and psoriasis.
    -
  2. Lemon
Lemon can be refreshing, energizing, and uplifting. It can also be added to your favorite household cleaner to help refresh and sanitize.
    -
  3. Peppermint
Peppermint is stimulating and can help enhance alertness and improve your energy. It can also relieve headaches, nausea, digestive problems, and congestion. Because of its menthol content, peppermint has a cooling effect which can also help reduce a fever and relieve pain.
    -
  4. Tea Tree
Tea Tree is often known for its ability to help combat acne and oily skin. You can also add a few drops to laundry to help keep things fresh.
    -
  5. Frankincense
Frankincense frereana is especially prized for its skin rejuvenating properties. It's great for wrinkles, scars, dry skin and damaged skin, and can help heal a wound or cut. It can also calm and relax your body and uplift your mood.

Top 5 KidSafe Synergies

Plant Therapy also has a line of KidSafe Synergies, which are basically different blends. Here are their top 5 for summer:

    -
  3. Ban The Bugs

    -
  4. Calming The Child
These relaxing synergies are great to use during the day or before bed when you or your child are feeling overwhelmed or extra wound up.
    -
  5. Nighty Night
These two oils are perfect to help you or your little one sleep more soundly during the night. Fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. I know we've all gotten to a point where we will try anything!

I am intersted in using essential oils as part of a holistic approach to health and wellness for the whole family. Also, to incorporate in cleaning, bath and body, and household use. Plant Therapy seems to be the best!

My 10 month old daughter and i are severe allergy sufferers. Additionally my daughter has battled cold after cold this year resulting in ear infections. We are tired of exposing her to round after round of antibiotics and have heard amazing things about essential oils. Winning this would hopefully give us a chance to provide her some relief without all the meds!

Oh, my! I would love to win this set. I've been wanting to dive in to using essential oils for several years, now; however, it's a bit cost prohibitive for me. As I deal with horrendous allergies myself and have a medically fragile husband, winning this set would be a tremendous blessing! Pick me!

I am new to essential oils but I've been seeing and realizing the great benefits every day. This would be a blessing to win the set to fully get started and to try Plant Therapy so awesome! I've been looking at those sets and wanting to purchase but they're pretty pricey it's most definitely worth it. But out of my budget I can't afford, So how cool it would be to Win!

I made to switch to EO's about 6 months ago and then found Plant Therapy and their awesome reputation. I have 7 children and became increasingly aware of how many people have autoimmune issues and the like. I am positive that our overuse of over the counter medications and processed diets are the cause of some of these issues. I switched my family to EO's and a more wholesome diet because I believe the body can heal itself if given what it needs. I would love a set of EO's from Plant Therapy.

I began my eo journey over 2 years ago and started actually working with oils less than a year ago. These kits have so many wonderful oils in them I have yet to try. I love the information Plant Therapy provides and also love that they are dedicated to safe use :)

We currently use Young Living oils for asthma and overall health. I would love to try Plant Therapy to see if their quality is comprable to what we use now, as YL can get pretty expensive!

I've always wanted to try essential oils! Artificial fragrances give me migraines, but I've heard essential oils wouldn't - and my daughter's OT has recommended trying oils with my daughter to relieve anxiety/help with focus (she has some sensory-processing challenges) so this would be a great way to start!
