Since my oldest daughter is entering 1st grade this fall I’ve decided it’s time to do away with all our sippy cups. Plus, I’ve been getting rid of plastic in other areas of our kitchen so it seemed like the right time to upgrade the kids’ items as well. I wasn’t quite ready to start letting our daughters use the “adult” glass cups though since we keep them in a cabinet they can’t reach, and they seem rather “breakable” anyway. So I was thrilled when I learned about these kid-friendly glass tumblers that are extremely durable and chip resistant. They are the perfect solution!

I put these stackable glass cups in a big drawer that my daughters can reach, and they LOVE getting out their own cups and filling them up with water all by themselves. My four-year-old is graduating from sippy cups a little early, but she is probably the most excited. The first night she used one I think she told me a dozen times that her cup was “breakable” just like mommy’s. And since the glass is durable and tempered I don’t worry too much about it actually breaking. Although I was sure to tell them if they did accidentally break a glass not to move an inch until I came to the rescue! So far these cups seem pretty kid-proof though.

Almost done with sippy cups... I cringe when my 3 and 7 year wAlk around with my nice glassware so this would give me something to put on their shelf as a durable alternative. Thanks!

Im a feeding therapist (pediatric occupational therapist), and I work hard at getting kids off sippy cups- not just for the yucky plastic reason, but also to promote oral motor development (most sippy spouts are like bottle nipples as far as teeth are concerned). It is hard to find a suitable alternative, and I could help out six families with these.

I am so over sippy cups and was actually looking for something to transition our kids to.

The kids still have a few plastic cups that they drink from most of the time. I really should get them drinking from glass, since I've been getting rid of other plastics in the house! (I hadn't even thought about it until I read this post.) Thanks for the chance to win!

I would love to have these and so would my husband, we have a nice little set of colored plastic cups for our daughters but they can not go through the dishwasher. It would be great to have everyone using glass at the dinnertable!
Mandie says
I would love these!! I would definitely use these for wine drinkers!!!! guests who sometimes partake too much could use a stemless glass, and when they tip over... no problem!!!

I SO want to get rid of plastic in our house. And my boys love to get their own water, too. My oldest actually likes the "bathroom sink water" the best!

I have been trying to upgrade my kitchen, as you have. I have a 3 year old, though, so getting rid of sippy cups has been the issue. But recently we had to throw away the expensive sippy cups due to the mold in all the hard places to reach. I just haven't found a good alternative, until I saw this. How exciting to see these glasses for kids!! My 3 year old already wwould rather drink from mommy's glass! And this could make our plastic to glass transition so much easier!!!

Love this. Just switching out plastic to stainless, but I would rather use glass. I have a 5 yr old and worry about same things, broken glass, etc. Sounds like these would work great. Slowly getting rid of all plastic items. Yeah!

Right now we use cups with alid and straw. This would be much easier for me to clean. Those straws get dirty so quickly.

After having used nothing but plastic cups for the last 5 years, it would be nice to upgrade to some "REAL" cups.

I'd love to win! My son is almost 3, and is starting to use "big boy cups" more often. I'm also trying to cut down on plastic, and these sound like a great solution!

I would love to have these. I think we have done a pretty good job of changing our family lifestyle as far as food and other products go and we are just now starting to clear out all of our plastic. We have 5 kids and I know they would love these!
