Since my oldest daughter is entering 1st grade this fall I’ve decided it’s time to do away with all our sippy cups. Plus, I’ve been getting rid of plastic in other areas of our kitchen so it seemed like the right time to upgrade the kids’ items as well. I wasn’t quite ready to start letting our daughters use the “adult” glass cups though since we keep them in a cabinet they can’t reach, and they seem rather “breakable” anyway. So I was thrilled when I learned about these kid-friendly glass tumblers that are extremely durable and chip resistant. They are the perfect solution!

I put these stackable glass cups in a big drawer that my daughters can reach, and they LOVE getting out their own cups and filling them up with water all by themselves. My four-year-old is graduating from sippy cups a little early, but she is probably the most excited. The first night she used one I think she told me a dozen times that her cup was “breakable” just like mommy’s. And since the glass is durable and tempered I don’t worry too much about it actually breaking. Although I was sure to tell them if they did accidentally break a glass not to move an inch until I came to the rescue! So far these cups seem pretty kid-proof though.

I'd love to get rid of sippy cups for my kids. I'm tired of washing parts.

I was laughing when I saw this post--yesterday I opened the cabinet and realized we didn't have a single matching set of glass cups to give anybody, let alone the kids! And while that can be handy for the "which glass is mine?" game, it's time to introduce my boys to the finer points of a nicely set table, I think. Not the crunchiest answer but it's mine!

Leaving the world of plastic behind!

We are trying really hard to get rid of plastic in our house and all that is left are the Tupperware short cups for the 3 year old. He keeps asking for a 'mommy cup' so these look perfect!

I recently pitched almost all of our plactic cups for the kids (ages 8 & 4). I hate those darn things! They flip over in the dishwasher, tip over in the cupboard, knock over on the table. Too light weight. And that's not even getting into my feelings on plastic, which I've been trying to reduce in our household. These little tumbers look perfect. :)

We have ditched all the sippy cups except for the camelback ones with straws which we use for hiking and camping. This has left us with virtually NO kids cups! We would use them proudly!

Already phasing out our plastic cups and have had several "breaks" while having the kids use our regular glasses. These would be a perfect way for them to drink safely! Love your site!

I love drinking out of glass. I rarely will drink out of plastic anymore -- glass actually makes beverages taste better!

My 2 1/2 year old loves using her "big girl glasses" but they are all plastic, and I don't like the fact that they're plastic. I, too, have been on hte process of eliminating all the plastic in our kitchen. I'm over halfway through the process... and these cups would be a fantastic addition!

My daughter is 4 and desperately wants to use her own glasses! What a cool choice, too! Perfect for her cabinet!

These would be great for us! Our daughter is currently using sippy cups but when she's ready for "big" cups, we don't have anything her size.

We are switching away from plastics in the kitchen and these look like a good size for kids.

I'd love a set of these for the same reason, I am always looking to purge the plastic out and I have seen these and would love to try them! My oldest is 6 and they all love using "big" cups
Christy says
My 2-year-old is great with cups, but I'm still hesitant to give glass (for all the obvious reasons!), and of course non-plastic would be better!!

I would love to win these glasses! My boys, 2 & 6, have plastic cups where they can reach them, but we always end up with 10 cups on the counter by the end of the day (all for just water). I would to label just a couple of glasses with their names on them (maybe a metallic marker on the bottom?) and say they can only use those glasses.

Last year, I started weeding out the plastic cups in our home. It is me against 4 guys that are very attached to their 'Arena Collection' as I refer to it...but I am sloooowly winning the battle. These glasses have a great style....and look like they would stand up to the wear and tear of my family.
