Beginner's Guide to Essential Oils

Many people swear by essential oils as home remedies and claim they help keep their kids out of the doctor's office. Though these claims are not backed by the FDA, it certainly sounds intriguing! So if you want to figure out how to incorporate them into your family's routine, here are some good ways to start.

Top 5 Oils

  1. Lavender
Lavender Population is known for being calming by reducing anxiety and acting as a stress reliever. It can also help with minor burns and reducing scarring and other skin issues including eczema and psoriasis.
    -
  2. Lemon
Lemon can be refreshing, energizing, and uplifting. It can also be added to your favorite household cleaner to help refresh and sanitize.
    -
  3. Peppermint
Peppermint is stimulating and can help enhance alertness and improve your energy. It can also relieve headaches, nausea, digestive problems, and congestion. Because of its menthol content, peppermint has a cooling effect which can also help reduce a fever and relieve pain.
    -
  4. Tea Tree
Tea Tree is often known for its ability to help combat acne and oily skin. You can also add a few drops to laundry to help keep things fresh.
    -
  5. Frankincense
Frankincense frereana is especially prized for its skin rejuvenating properties. It's great for wrinkles, scars, dry skin and damaged skin, and can help heal a wound or cut. It can also calm and relax your body and uplift your mood.

If I would have known about essential oil use years ago I think that o would have invested more. As an Army woman veteran who suffers from chronic pain, PTSD, depression, sleep issues and other ailments I would love to have options to treat my concerns other than medications. I use oils for my children as well and love the effect it has on reducing my daughter's negative behavior. This prize would serve me and my family well.

I've been wanting to get into essential oils ever since I was convinced that the reason I did not get sick once is because the women next to me in choir practice gave me some essential oils when I told her that I was starting to feel like I was getting sick. I've never not gotten sick when I felt like that except for that one time. So I'm definitely interested!

The other day I was having some drinks with my husband at local bar. I got introduced to a lady that sells essential oils as a business. She swore that her son has never had antibiotics (he could not be older than 10 yrs old). She said that whenever he gets sick she uses peppermint oil and he gets better. I have always been intrigued by these oils and their properties and this giveaway could not have come at a better time. Thank you Lisa, for giving us this opportunity.

I recommend Tea tree to everyone, and would love to recommend Plant Therapy!
My daughter gets sick all the time and is allergic to 3 major classes of antibiotics and I would love to try Kids Safe essential oils to help prevent as much antibiotic use as possible.

I'd love to try this set of essential oils because I've recently delved into creating my own body products and have been wanting to expand the healing properties of what I can create through oils. Not only that, but consecrating and 'magical' oils are a part of religious practices with various herbs and oils possessing properties that can be used in various ways. Having a set like this would allow for a much greater range of working abilities!

I would like to try Plant Therapy’s essential oils because they come by good recommendation and I have recently been going towards a whole foods diet and all natural/organic lifestyle. Getting these oils would end a long search for a good oil company. I would use them to make all kinds of things from deodorant to salves, etc!!!
