Beginner's Guide to Essential Oils

Many people swear by essential oils as home remedies and claim they help keep their kids out of the doctor's office. Though these claims are not backed by the FDA, it certainly sounds intriguing! So if you want to figure out how to incorporate them into your family's routine, here are some good ways to start.

Top 5 Oils

  1. Lavender
Lavender Population is known for being calming by reducing anxiety and acting as a stress reliever. It can also help with minor burns and reducing scarring and other skin issues including eczema and psoriasis.
    -
  2. Lemon
Lemon can be refreshing, energizing, and uplifting. It can also be added to your favorite household cleaner to help refresh and sanitize.
    -
  3. Peppermint
Peppermint is stimulating and can help enhance alertness and improve your energy. It can also relieve headaches, nausea, digestive problems, and congestion. Because of its menthol content, peppermint has a cooling effect which can also help reduce a fever and relieve pain.
    -
  4. Tea Tree
Tea Tree is often known for its ability to help combat acne and oily skin. You can also add a few drops to laundry to help keep things fresh.
    -
  5. Frankincense
Frankincense frereana is especially prized for its skin rejuvenating properties. It's great for wrinkles, scars, dry skin and damaged skin, and can help heal a wound or cut. It can also calm and relax your body and uplift your mood.

Top 5 KidSafe Synergies

Plant Therapy also has a line of KidSafe Synergies, which are basically different blends. Here are their top 5 for summer:

    -
  3. Ban The Bugs

    -
  4. Calming The Child
These relaxing synergies are great to use during the day or before bed when you or your child are feeling overwhelmed or extra wound up.
    -
  5. Nighty Night
These two oils are perfect to help you or your little one sleep more soundly during the night. Fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. I know we've all gotten to a point where we will try anything!

I love essential oils! I use one to steam clean my kitchen and bath. I use lavendar to help sleep and I use tea tree on my scalp. I swear by them. I have never tried this brand though and I would love to have a kit. That binder would satisfy my need to be organized and my need for more natural products in my life.

I'd love to win this price package because I could never afford to buy it. I struggle with coming up with extra money to purchases a single oil so being able to purchase an entire package is far beyond us.

Our family transitioned to whole/organic foods and a chemical free lifestyle over the past 3+ years. While our children don't fall ill often, we try to explore natural remedies first. I would really, really like to get into EO's for prevention and treatment of illness and general well-being. The main "hang-up" has been the cost and where to start. Winning this kit would be amazing!

My two year old had open heart surgery at 7 months old. He had a weak immune system so I did not vaccinate as it could have compromised it more. He is thriving now but as a result I try to help keep his immune system strong. I am traveling in September to the UK for my sisters wedding and am wanting to use natural products to boost his immune system and that of his newborn brother. It would be a huge blessing to win these oils and add to our ongoing natural health journey.

Let's try that again. I love essential oils. I would feel very blessed to have some of them to use. Over the years I have had a few but not many. It would nice to be able to use them as often as I like. Thank you for the opportunity.

I have been using plant therapy essential oils for six months now. By using the oils I have decreased my husbands asthma attacks, decreased his and our sons flair ups of excema, and I have had no flair ups with my allergies. Would love to win this set and try other combinations for combating bug repellant, indoor air purification and homemade cleaning products.

I am anxious to try Plant Therapy oils -- I have a friend who is VERY much in the know about natural and alternative therapies. She does her reserach. Plant Therapy's quality very much impressed her, so I am impressed by default. I look forward to learning more about Plant Therapy and hope to become a loyal customer!

I live in Southern California (Ladera Ranch) where esaential oils are all the newest rage. I am just getting into them and so are several of my friends. I just made my whole house cleaning and all of my healthcare products chemical free. Oils are my final step. I have been trying to educate myself and some of my friends about oils. I know people who use young living and doterra but I haven't heard of Plant therapy yet. I would love to try it and learn more about the company. The starter kit and the kids are both such great products to sample. Would be an honor. I have kids ages 3 and 5 and I want to use oils on them as well. I am also trying to get my sister in brentwood Los angeles and my other sister in bronxville ny to start with oils as well. They seem to be less popular there. I am extremely excited about oils

This sounds like a wonderful opportunity to learn and experience the properties of using essential oils for my home and family. Since my budget is very limited, I cannot afford to purchase oils I am not familiar with, in hopes that they will work and not be a waste of time and money.. My health issues are numerous, would love to get away from chemical based everything for home/health. Thank you for your consideration and opportunity to possibly try Plant Therapy products.
