Paleo Cookbooks from The Primal Palate

Chances are you’ve heard of the Paleo lifestyle/diet. It is no secret that it’s a growing trend, which many around us are embracing. The Paleo lifestyle means eating real food with an emphasis on humanely raised meat, organic vegetables, and good quality fats like organic coconut oil, fats from pasture-raised animals, and grass-fed butter/ghee. That means no grains! And in some cases, depending on which Paleo eater you are talking to, no dairy. The other focus of the Paleo diet is to incorporate organ meats and fermented foods like sauerkraut and kombucha (the latter are for the benefits of probiotics).

I’ve personally heard of many people who’ve been able to put their autoimmune disorders in remission after switching to a Paleo diet. The belief is that disease can start in the gut, so when you remove gut irritating foods like grains, legumes, and dairy, as well as soy and sugar, you can heal your gut and heal your body. I’ve always said if you feel better without eating gluten or grains or dairy (or another food group)…then by all means avoid it!

So today I am excited to introduce some great resources for those interested in trying out a Paleo lifestyle…three books from the bestselling authors and creators of The Food Lovers Kitchen, Bill Staley and Hayley Mason:

I would love to win Gather, The Art of Paleo Entertaining. I've been paleo for a few weeks now. With summer BBQs on the horizon I'm going to need some great party style recipes!

The 30 day guide to Paleo cooking sounds the best. I really want to help my family - my mom has lupus, I have dysautonomia, which is thought to be autoimmune, and my newly adopted 14 year old brother has tuberous sclerosis. His seizures are out of control and his brain is covered in little tumors. His background has NOT been good for his diet; his diet is terrible. He pretty much just wants to eat chicken nuggets and icecream. I really wonder if changing his diet could help control his seizures and shrink his tumors.

I think I would most love "Make It Paleo." My husband is showing signs of gluten sensitivity, so we've been thinking about trying out Paleo for awhile to see if it helps.

Would love to start with the guide cookbook. I have wanted to get started but every time I try I fail because I crave something. This cookbook sounds like it will have good strategies for me.

"Make It Paleo" would be an awesome cookbook for me! I would love to have the mexican flavor in my food still but all the cheese and grains in my old meals have made me abandon them. Help me bring back my mexican flavors!

I'm so interested in this! My husband and I have been eating essentially paleo (I will never give up my beloved dairy, he will never give up his beloved peanut butter) for a few months now and we are loving it but are always looking for new recipes! I'd love Make It Paleo!
