I recently discovered that pineapple is an amazing tenderizer for meat! After briefly marinating these kabobs in a mixture of pureed fresh pineapple and some other yummy stuff, the pork was almost falling apart it was so tender. I can’t wait to try it on some other cuts of meat after how well these marinated pork kabobs turned out! So tasty. :)
What Cut is Best for Marinated Pork Kabobs?
The best meat choice for this recipe is going to be a tenderloin. You want a cut of meat that won’t dry out while on the grill.
Can I Cook Kabobs in the Oven?
Yes! If you don’t have a grill, you can still make delicious marinated pork kabobs (or any type!). Just preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Then cook them for about 20-30 minutes, turning occasionally.
Side Dishes That Pair Well Marinated Pork Kabobs
This particular recipe is full of flavor from the pineapple, so you’ll want to keep your side dish pretty simple. I would pair it with a simple salad with some grated Parmesan cheese on top, a baked sweet potato, or fresh fruit. Some other options would be this Pasta Salad with Red Pepper Pesto or even Southern Potato Salad (without the mayo).
